SEL Day
Social and Emmotional Learning at Lake Par
Lake Par. and PHS joined forces to create a fun, inclusive learning environment for SEL Day! PHS’s juniors and seniors came to Lake Par. to facilitate a variety of lessons and projects. Each lesson and project was student- centered that required active student engagement and the authentic connection to real life experiences that strengthened creative problem solving, critical thinking, leadership, community service, and social impact. Students gave back to the community by making cards for veterans, calming jars for the children’s hospital, joke books for children’s emergency rooms, paintings for nursing and veteran homes and dog toys and cat blankets for the animal shelter. Students were highly engaged and had a great day!
